Backend Developer

DTACT's mission is to transform data from any source and of any volume into valuable insights as quickly and easy as possible and we're looking for a seasoned professionals to help us do that!

In this role, you will collaborate with an international and multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists.

This role is 100% remote. We do NOT offer visa sponsorship for this role. By default, we offer a 1-year contract that has the potency to convert into a fulltime role based on performance and market needs. The ideal candidate appreciates a startup mentality and works in Central European Time zone (CET) or Eastern Time zone (EST).

What You’ll Do:

  • Write and test code, build prototypes, resolve issues, and analyze bottlenecks.
  • Design robust APIs to support specific client needs.
  • Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud.
  • Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
  • Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, data engineers, and Product Manager regarding progress on product roadmap.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proficient in writing in Go language (Python and Rust are a plus).
  • Experience with micro-services and core AWS technologies.
  • Experience in designing APIs.
  • Experience with working in Databases (SQL), Docker, and Linux.
  • Foundational knowledge of computer science.
  • Innovative mindset that challenges the status quo and focusses on outside-the-box ideas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
